1. Licence
Teachme2do AI Tutor is published by DocumentIQ (M.C. Jayasinghe, Australia). It is licensed, not sold, through the Microsoft Store and is also subject to Microsoft's Standard Application License Terms. You may use it for personal study.
2. Price and OpenAI costs
The purchase price (A$299 in Australia) is a one-time software price. It does not include OpenAI API usage. You need your own OpenAI API account and key, and you are responsible for your OpenAI account, its terms and all OpenAI charges. Keep your key private.
3. Age
The app is for users aged 13 and over. Users under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission, and a parent should hold the OpenAI account and key.
4. Educational aid only
AI explanations, handwriting readings and marks can be wrong. They are AI estimates, not official grades. The app does not replace teachers or official course materials. It includes no curriculum content and does not claim alignment with any syllabus. Do not use it to break your school's academic-integrity rules.
5. Your content and data
You are responsible for having the right to use the documents you add, and you keep ownership of them. Your data is stored on your computer, and backups are your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent to OpenAI.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app for unlawful, harmful or abusive purposes, or reverse-engineer it except as allowed by law.
7. Refunds and consumer rights
Refunds are handled under Microsoft Store policies. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that cannot be excluded.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and our liability is limited to the price you paid.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
