Can I buy it yet?

Not yet. It's coming soon to the Microsoft Store.

Is OpenAI usage included in the A$299?

No. A$299 is the one-time software price. OpenAI charges you separately for API usage under your own key.

How do I get an OpenAI API key?

A parent creates an account at platform.openai.com, adds billing, creates an API key and enters it in the app's Settings. The app's connection test is free.

Which files can I use?

See supported documents. Old .doc/.ppt/.xls files and iPhone HEIC photos must be saved in another format first.

Does it work on Mac, iPad, ARM PCs or Windows 10?

No. It needs a 64-bit (x64) Windows 11 PC.

Does it work offline?

No for AI features: they need the internet.

Is there a free trial?

No.

How do I back up my work?

Use Backup in the app, or Save copy to Documents. Your data only exists on that computer unless you save a copy.

The app says my API key is invalid or out of credit.

Check the key is copied correctly and that your OpenAI account has billing and credit.
